ATHENS, Tenn. – The KCU VolleyKnights traveled to the campus of Tennessee Wesleyan University to take on the Bulldogs for the second half of their season series. This being their second meeting of the year and with KCU taking care of their home court on October 23, TWU looked to avenge that earlier loss. But that was not to be as Kentucky Christian won in three straight; 25-16, 25-21, 26-24.
Kiahna Holmen and Kristin Upshaw-Mendoza paced the KCU offense by posting double-digit kills of 16 and 13, respectively. The duo also posted double-doubles with 12 and 10 digs each.
With 34 assists, Darby Flickinger led both teams and chipped in eight digs. Bailey Brown (11) and Hannah Cron (10) also reached double-digits in digs.
Defense was key for KCU as the team produced 65 digs, along with four solo and six assisted blocks.
