GRAYSON – Kentucky Christian’s volleyball team presented the seniors away with an amazing 3-0 win over the visiting Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan University on their 2020 Senior Nite. The win took the VolleyKnights’ record to 5-4 while TWU dropped to one game under .500 at 3-4.
Kiahna Holmen led all hitters with 13 kills and a .357 hitting percentage. Holmen collected her fifth double-double of the season with 14 digs on the night.
Darby Flickinger was credited with 27 assists while distributing the ball offensively coupled with 10 digs had her fourth double-double this season.
Defensively, Mackenzie Kelty led the charge in the back row as she produced 20 digs, leading both teams. Owens, likewise had two solo blocks which were good enough to be the best on the court this night.
KCU honored four players today on “Senior Nite” with Olivia Barrett, Paige Dietz, Holmen, and April Stiers after receiving some very much deserved respect during the pre-match ceremony.
Kentucky Christian returns to the DHOC on Saturday for an 11 a.m. match with the Lions of Bryan College. BC currently leads the AAC with a 9-1 conference record.
