She became the first in the women&#8217;s program history to be honored on the NAIA Academic All-America honor roll, previously one of two women to earn the All-District nod in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>In the classroom, Moore was dedicated as she earned three Academic All-Conference honors, twice an NAIA-Daktronics Scholar Athlete, twice NAIA Academic All-District and now an Academic All-American.<\/p>\n<p>In her lone appearance on the track during the indoor season, Moore ran a career best time in the 5,000 meters, clocking 19:04.50 across the finish line after 25 laps. She also competed at the Q Elite Half Marathon, earning an automatic qualification to the would-be NAIA Outdoor Track &amp; Field Championship full marathon with a 1:26:43 finish.<\/p>\n<p>Also a leader on the cross country course, Moore was often the first Patriot to cross the finish line, including a second place finish at the MSC Championships her senior season. Through her entire Cumberlands campaign, she qualified for the NAIA Cross Country Championships as a sophomore and as a senior, meanwhile running her career best time of 19:16.9 at the Louisville Classic in early October, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, her teammate Nicolas Grandperrin also became the first in the program&#8217;s history to claim the national academic honor, making it onto the first-team roll.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the cancellation of spring competition during COVID-19, CoSIDA continued its sponsorship of the Academic All-America awards program.
